Sanju is the biography of popular Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt. Directed and co-written by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju is the 9th highest grossing Indian movie worldwide. It was jointly produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani. The film follows the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, telling his story through the ups and downs including his addiction with drugs, arrest for alleged association with the 1993 Bombay bombings, comeback in the industry and more.
The role of Sanjay Dutt has been played by Ranbir Kapoor. Sanju’s supporting cast includes Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala and more. The movie was a hot topic in the media for a while due to changes in the story by Rajkumar Hirani to allegedly improve the image of Sanjay Dutt.
