As per the announcement by Film Federation of India, Amit Masurkar-directed political satire ‘Newton‘, starring Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, is selected as India’s official entry to Oscars 2018.
Such great news on the day of film’s release is a big achievement. ‘Newton’ was among the 26 Indian movies that were being considered for Oscars and this movie was the undisputed choice of the FFI.
‘Newton’ has been eagerly awaited by the fans and the commercial release of the film comes with another great news like this! As per the reviews, the movie is about asking hard questions and honesty. I’m sure that I can say this for the most of you that it feels great to see the Indian cinema deliver a movie like this!
